Almost perfect

I do love the concept - one new daily planner for each month with unique color covers. However this is not perfect, as each little booklet planner starts with 15 pages of the standard information that normally comes with any moleskine planners. That is nearly HALF of each little booklet. So when you start each month you start close to the middle - which takes away the joy of starting a planner from beginning to end. I wish they made these information into a separate booklet, and instead of 1 page per day, we can have 2 pages per day. These 15 pages are wasteful to me especially nowadays we can just get timezone and map info stuff on the internet so quickly.

Also, this lacks the usual silk thread for bookmark. I find myself flipping through pages to find the correct date. Currently I put a magnetic bookmark on top so this is not a big issue, however I really would prefer the old threads - matching color would be perfect!

In general I prefer this format to the traditional daily planners. I miss the elastic binder and the bookmark thread, also I wish I don't have to see the 15 pages of info repeatedly on every little booklet.

Thanks, Santa! this series is great. Unlike a regular diary — one book — I love these 12 little books because each month I get a sense of a fresh start and a clearly defined block of time. It's great for planning and I don't feel the year gets away so quickly.

Beautiful outside, mostly beautiful inside.

I love the color scheme of the set, and I love how they're numbered; the design is simple, but elegant, and I feel all the more a gentleman by carrying one of the notebooks around.

The only thing I have against the set is in the individual notebooks: half of each notebook is dedicated to year calendars, conversion tables, time zone maps, etc. On one hand, this is all (probably) useful information, but on the other hand, that's less notebook you get to use... I mean, I could just write over all of it, but I think that defeats what I originally wanted it for, which is pretty much a planner/diary.

Useful and beautiful, but some wastage

These little diaries fit perfectly into my small handbag or would fit into a large coat pocket, and are not bulky at all. The layout of the pages - 6 days a week with ruled lines and hours 8am - 8pm, with Sunday just lined, nice subdued font and type colour... all very elegant and the colours are pleasing too.

These are really functional diaries for their size, however as many people have noted there are a lot of superfluous days, including timezones, phone area codes, two yearly calendars. I would understand this in one big yearly diary, but to have this each month is silly. It would have been better to just have note pages to put our own reference material in. Sure, sometimes I need phone numbers or bus stop numbers, but never international time zones or flight durations?! And maybe one overview of the current year helps to make notes for when you get home to enter things in your other monthly diaries, but not 2 years, that's over the top.

Nonetheless, this doesn't stop the parts that I do need from being of great service to me.

I don't understand complaints about size - each book is just as described in the dimensions. I don't think anyone has deliberately misrepresented the size in the pictures, rather that other people just expected them to be bigger. But the point of splitting up the months for many is to carry around a compact diary without sacrificing daily detail. And I think this product achieves that quite well.

These are great. I have never been so organized in my life. I do, however, wish there was a base on the bottom side that prevented the books from falling down. The elastic holds them in place, but very loose.

needs a bookmark

I find it hard to find the current day sometimes, but once I added a paper clip to keep my place I found it great. It's easy to use and there is a good amount of space in each day. I found it interesting all the "facts" that are included at the front. I'd probably rather have a 2-day spread for each day to write more.

The color coding is nice, and I like the month stickers that also came with it, along with the case to hold them all.
