From the moment I opened the book I found this book hard to use. The organization is less than adequate and it is down right hard to find anything in it let alone be able to get relevant information out of it to make a care plan!If you plan on using this book make sure you have plenty of other books to get your interventions from and your rationals for your care plans as this book has neither of these in them! A friend had suggested to be Betty J Ackley book and I took their advice and I am so happy. Making a care plan with Ackley's book is a dream NANDA, INterventions and rationals all in one book and all for less than 12 bucks for an older edition or 40 or so for the newer one!I am still upset that carpinito book is required by my school since it is worthless and will just be a doorstop or something to put my beer on!If you don't take my word for it ask a nursing student at your school and find out for your self how worthless they think this book is!Keep your money because you will need it to buy other books that are useful.

This is a great handbook for nursing students. I love how it provides the rationales as well. Easy to use.
