Samsung's line of tablet computers Galaxy Tab is probably the best known and the widest used line of "true" Android tablets. (Amazon's Kindle Fire line uses a heavily modified version of Android.) These are very versatile and well designed tablets that can serve a multiplicity of your everyday needs - listening to music, accessing online videos, checking and composing e-mail, creating various forms of original content. In order to get the most out of your Galaxy Tab, a detailed book of instructions can really come in handy.
This is one of the more comprehensive user guidebooks for any tablet computer that I have come across. At almost 500 pages it covers almost all of the essential topics and tasks that you would come across in your daily use. The chapters covered include "Becoming Familiar with Android," "Browsing the Web," "Playing Music and Videos," "Enhancing Galaxy Tab with Apps," and several others. Many of these topics are very intuitive, but there are certain subtleties that will help even the more experienced users.
All chapters and sections are organized around step-by-step instructions that give you detailed exposition. Most of the tasks are also illustrated with color screenshots, and this really helps with the whole experience. The book is very well designed and it is really fun to go through. You can either go sequentially through it, or you can jump to any topic that you may want to read more about. The only problem with books like this one is that they become dated very quickly. This is equally due to the increasingly short product development cycles, as well as to the frantic pace with which Android has been evolving lately. So if you are considering buying this book I'd urge you to do so quickly.
