I was educated many years ago, way before they elaborated the human genome. I felt I needed to learn the language of genetics in order to understand current medical literature, so I purchased various books in this field. Unfortunately, all were above my head until I purchased this one. I have just begun to read the book, but my initial impression is that I will finally understand the subject. The book really does get down to basics and has a decent index as well. Highly recommended.

The title would suggest for this product that it would contain a copy of the MasteringGenetics access card; however, my copy of the product lacked the access card. This made the initially worthwhile rental cost as much as buying the book new.
The book itself is an invaluable resource for any genetics student. It highlights and elaborates difficult but necessary genetic topics. When MasteringGenetics is paired with the text, it further reinforces topics discussed by the text and provides an enjoyable studying experience.
