I have treasured my 1971-copy of their first guide to organic gardening by Robert Rodale and have always considered them to be an authority on the subject. With this new book, you have an update to sage advice with pretty pictures (illustrations and photos) to look at! If you are new to the world of organic growing, there are a lot of great books out there from Eliot Coleman's Four Season Harvest to Ruth Stout's
Gardening Without Work.
Here - is a great, straightforward guide to planting and growing for beginners. There are tips for taking care of weeds, good bugs vs. bad bugs, and pretty much anything that a new (or new-ish) organic gardener would need to know. If you are looking to establish better eating habits, there is no better way than to grow your own food. Get excited about the 2014 season with this beautiful book!
