SUMMARY: although pretty, the poor quality and missing features make this planner a bad idea for busy people and students.
To judge a book by its cover, this planner is lovely. The cover is embossed, with a bit of foil, and is quite pretty. The pages inside are smooth, thicker than notebook paper, and clearly printed. The size given is accurate, and fairly portable. An address section and pages for notes, as well as a 'loose paper pocket,' are thoughtfully included at the back. Sadly, there are many flaws, too.
This is set up like a hardcover book, and although you can lie it flat on your desk, the inside binding creaks, and develops weak points quickly - you sacrifice tight binding for flexibility. Stitching is frequently visible. The binding between the page ending "January 1st 2015" and "Addresses" is completely separated in the copy I received. The "hardcover" is not very thick, and if your purse or backpack sees much use, I have doubts that this planner would survive to New Years Eve. The pocket intended for keeping loose notes, receipts, and so forth is glued in, and not at all reinforced. The opening is right against the spine, so you must open the book quite wide to gain access. To its credit, the pocket does hold quite a lot, and the elastic still closes around the book, but the "hardcover" begins to bend if you have too much inside. This may not be of concern to everyone, but displays a problematic design flaw for those who wish to use it.
It has space for 24 addresses total, and six blank lined pages for notes. It does NOT have a page each month showing the month's calendar layout, nor any other way to coordinate notes or entries beyond the one-week span visible on each two-page spread.
